Our client is a leading supplier of quality and fresh produce to the UK and European Markets. They have grown from a small family company into a leader in their field and are now looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their business
Job Purpose:
To actively promote, monitor and maintain all aspects of product quality standards of excellence throughout the business to ensure maximum Customer satisfaction. Responsible for managing the quality of produce received, stored and distributed by company.
Accountabilities:
1. To lead, manage and motivate a dedicated Quality Control Team.
2. To take a proactive approach to maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
3. Ensuring that intake received at night is inspected to the same standard as day intake.
4. To provide support for Goods In and the Night Operation Team on all quality issues
5. To provide support for the Conveyor Line Team on product handling and quality issues.
6. Liaising with Stock Control as to the suitable rotation of products, specifically managing the product quality throughout life whilst under the control of company
7. To ensure best practice intake, storage and distribution of all products, ensuring the safety,
quality and legality of products
8. To support the environmental systems implemented within the Company, and ensure that any relevant environmental procedures are dealt with.
The ideal candidate's last role would have been as a Quality Manager with a fresh produce company and have some excellent man management skills.

Indicative Salary Range: £35000 - 38000
